I chanced upon this salted egg yolk cookie recipe on this blog messywitchen and decided to give it a try. I used butter instead of shortening. I found the cookies to be lacking in egg yolk flavour in my first attempt.
In my second try, I used 4 egg yolks and added salted egg white to the egg wash. The cookies tasted a lot more flavourful this time. I also tried mixing egg yolk with the egg wash but unfortunately they didn’t look that great.
These are the pretty ones which I like.
